Amy Fish is the author of three non-fiction books and a book of poetry. Her most recent, “One in Six Million: The Baby by the Roadside and the Man Who Retraced a Holocaust Survivor’s Lost Identity“ (Goose Lane 2025) has been called “a journey that underscores the resilience of the human spirit and the power of connection,” and “uplifting, well-crafted and entertaining”. One in Six Million has surpassed all expectations by going into a second printing after only seven weeks. Amy also has a full time job as the ombudsperson at Concordia University and has treated over 8000 complaints in her lifetime. Her book about how to be a good complainer “I Wanted Fries with That: How to Ask for What You Want and Get What You Need” has been featured in Reader’s Digest, Costco Connection and Fox News. Amy has a weekly newsletter called Persistence for Writers that comes out every Monday. She regularly speaks, teaches and writes about the importance of never giving up. Amy lives in Montreal with her family.
